Teacher Spotlight: Sidney – Violin and Piano Teacher in Midlothian

We are so pleased to introduce Sidney, our talented violin and piano teacher in Midlothian , TX!

Educational Background:

Sidney began her musical career at the age of six when she first started learning to play the violin. In the following years, she joined various youth orchestras, participated annually in summer music camps, and learned to play the piano. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, TX and studied Music Performance at Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi.

Teaching Background:

Although Sidney has only been teaching music lessons since early 2017, she is very passionate about working with children and is excited to combine her love of music and teaching. She has experience teaching students of all ages and abilities.

Personality/Teaching Style:

Sidney’s goal is to spread her love of music to her students. She knows that students will learn and perform best when they are actively engaged and interested in what they are learning. As a result, she strives to teach each student according to their interests, while still providing them a solid fundamental education.

Special Skills:

Sidney loves teaching music to students of all ages and abilities. She is also very successful at teaching mathematics and music theory. She is very active in her local church where she teaches children’s classes and accompanies hymns during the services.
